Our story
Barana is a 2300 acre [940 ha] mixed farming & grazing property situated 15km north of Coolah on the North West slopes of New South Wales, Australia.

Our soils are predominantly self-mulching black basalt with some red basalt. The main crops grown on our farm are wheat, sorghum, barley & oats. We run both commercial & stud Simmental cattle and more recently Angus herds. Read more...

Barana is also home to Barana Simmentals established in 1980. Our Simmental stud herd consists of 200 registered breeders & we have continuing sales nationwide of 50-60 bulls annually & have secured a solid client base. Read more...
