Peter purchased Karewa Jester, a polled son of German sire Eizenherz from New Zealand in 2000. This bull bred well in Barana’s polling programme.  German genetics were utilised with Zimbo and Gowrie Yankee [P] producing excellent progeny.  We introduced South African bred bulls into our Barana herd with Bullock Hills Buster [P] and Corinda Downs Buckshot [AI] [ET] [P] in 2007.

Callendale Jasper [P] and Woonallee Jumbo have produced low birthweight, easy calving, early maturing offspring.  We purchased the homozygous polled Woonallee Looking Glass in 2017.

In February 2020 Barana purchased a new outcross stud sire Willandra Panama [P] from the Cowcher family’s Willandra Simmental stud in WA followed up with the purchase of Willandra Qantastic [P] in 2021.
