Our farm

Barana is a 2300 acre [940 hectare] mixed farming and grazing property situated 15km north of Coolah on the north west slopes of New South Wales.

Our soils are predominantly self-mulching black basalt with some red basalt. The main crops grown on our farm are wheat, sorghum, barley & oats.  In the past we have also grown canola & sunflowers.  We run both commercial & stud Simmental cattle and also small Shorthorn and more recently Angus herds.

In a normal season we expect an average of 24” annual rainfall.
